Dan’s Trust Celebrates 10 Years

Dan’s Trust Celebrates 10 Years

Dan’s Trust hosted a ten year anniversary dinner at local venue Yu’s in Clitheroe on the 4th November 2023. Bringing together the family, winners past and present and Trustees to mark a decade of community funding. It was an incredible night of fundraising, sharing stories and connecting teens from across the county. Sharing our message to ‘Make a Difference’ and uniting the family who started the charity in memorial of Daniel Bagshaw.

DAN’S TRUST was founded in 2012 after the tragic death of Daniel Bagshaw when he was just 27. Daniel suffered a sudden and unexplained arrhythmia on the finish line of the Olympic distance triathlon in Hong Kong. Dan was a cycling enthusiast and an extremely talented and athletic young lawyer.

He was committed to making a difference to young people and his legacy lives on in the work of everyone involved.

A wonderful evening and an inspiring message of hope, connection, passion, purpose and giving back. Joined by talented teens, paraswimmer Ethan, footballers Archie, Jess and Emma, barebow archer Evie, wheelchair MX star Tomas, triathlete Matthew, dancers Emily and Mia, musician Maisie, BGT magician Jasper, swimmer Sadie, judo champ Isaac and cricketer Isobel along with community projects LSFA, Burnley Youth Theatre and Ribblesdale Cricket and bowling club.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event as a guest, prize donor or through bidding and buying on the night. We’ll be back with more fundraising events next year!
